CodeHS Academic Integrity Tools to Support Authentic Learning
CodeHS is launching a new Academic Integrity Center to help teachers stay confident in their students’ work.
CodeHS has developed a new suite of Academic Integrity tools to help teachers ensure authentic learning and ethical conduct in the classroom. These new tools allow teachers to effectively evaluate student code for originality and authenticity.
The Academic Integrity Center includes new Pro tools and resources to help build and preserve academic integrity in the classroom. Explore a few of the new tools below.
Plagiarism Report
Concerned a student may be violating the code of conduct? Generate a full report of a student’s work to review for potential dishonesty. Evaluate the student’s code with a full breakdown of the time spent on the assignment, the number of saves, and code similarity to the CodeHS solution code.
Focus Mode
Immediately send all your students to a designated activity. Enabling Focus Mode will automatically direct all students to a determined page while blocking students from navigating to any other CodeHS page. Ensure all your students are working on the same project simultaneously, without reviewing past CodeHS work or working ahead of the class.
Code Replay
Review a student’s entire code history as they work towards their solution. Are you concerned with a student’s efforts? Watch every keystroke playback as they progress toward their solution code. This is also a great way to better understand how your students solve a problem, help find their bugs, and highlight examples of effective coding.
