The New CodeHS Sidebar Navigation Design Makes Finding The Tools You Need Easy

The sidebar redesign helps teachers quickly access the tools and resources they need to make sure their classes run smoothly.

CodeHS is excited to launch our new simplified sidebar. The redesigned sidebar is organized into categories and should make it easier to find the tools you need to engage students and streamline your tasks. Changes to the sidebar will take effect on February 7th, 2024.

The new navigation will make navigating CodeHS simpler and faster. All of the functionality on the site will remain exactly the same, with a new simplified layout. The sidebar is now organized into categories that you can expand to find the CodeHS tools you are looking for. To watch a demo of the new navigation, you can watch this one minute video.

Sidebar Categories

The categories in the new sidebar are Classroom, Assignments, Grading, Curriculum, and Support. You can expand these categories in order to find the tools you need.

Resizing your sidebar

To save room on your screen, you can click the arrow button on the top right of your sidebar to close your sidebar. When you hover over any links the sidebar will expand automatically. To lock the expanded view, click again on the arrow button on the top right of your sidebar.
